James is a cofounder of Vertical Partners. Prior to forming Vertical Partners in March of 2022, James served as Senior Vice President at Holt Lunsford Commercial, a Dallas based full-service commercial real estate company. During his time at HLC, James was involved in negotiating over 450 lease and sale transactions.

Prior to his time at HLC, James was an associate broker at Avison Young where he specialized in Tenant Representation for office users.

James is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas.

James lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife Maggie and daughter Blair.
